This year's Australian Open promises to be one of the mostly hotly contested grand slams in recent years, with a number of top ranked competitors vying for the coveted Aussie Open crown. However it is young Gold Coast teenager Bernard Tomic who is stealing the limelight at the event becoming the youngest Australian to win a match in a Grand Slam Event. Tomic, is Australia's only hope in the Men's Draw after Lleyton Hewitt was dispatched by Chile's Fernando Gonzalez in a 5 set epic, which had all the makings of a great match.

I Believe the two men to beat here are still Federer and Nadal, but don'c count out the likes of Andy Murray who displayed in the lead up events that he is a force to be reckoned with and has all the makings for an immediate champion.
